Time -Travel Paradoxes
" Time is just an illusion "
To be able to time travel is an understandably common human fantasy - to anticipate our own futures, to revisit and perhaps change and alter our past lives .Time Travelling is not impossible but it's consequences will play a pivotal role in making everything topsy-turvy.
Time is considered to be the fourth dimension . A three dimensional object will have no real existance if it does not last for any time at all.We can thus conclude all mathematical planes are mere abstraction as an instantaneous cube can not exist in the fourth dimension -Time.
Relating to time travelling many time travel paradoxes are put forth by physicist.
The Grandfather paradox
The Grandfather paradox deals with the killing of one's own grandfather before the conception of one's father and thus preventing one's own existance. This paradox resembles a continuous cycle .
This paradox faces many clashes. Its a paradox with evinces logical problem that would arise if one travel in the past.
The above cycle illustrates The Grandfather paradox in the simplest way possible. At the same time many theories also suggest that nothing will change if we change our past as it will create a new timeline in the universe in different dimension.
The Bootstrap paradox
The Bootstrap paradox can be explained through an example:
Imagine ,You invent a time machine , go back in the past and give yourself an object you have got from your future self . The origin of the object is not determined but the object still exists. The object is then said to be " self - created" .In a nutshell , the Bootstrap paradox is a hypothetical loop in space time of time travel in which one event causes a second event , which was acutally the cause of the first.
It's a bit complicated.
So here's an easy example.
Imagine you went back in time and teach Einstein the theory of relativity , So who discovered it - You or Einstein ?
